Narrative

The Boston Money Management Program uses trained, supervised volunteers to help elderly or disabled people with managing their money. Clients are low-income Boston residents with limited assets. Volunteers visit in the home once or more each month. Services provided include:

• developing a budget
• reconciling accounts
• interacting with creditors
• basic advocacy 
• detection of scams or abuse
