Narrative

The Community Based Day Supports Program is a model designed for those people who want services in addition to work.  This program encourages self-determination. It empowers people to pick activities that are personally meaningful to them.  People select from a broad range of daily activities that take place in a variety of community settings such as:

  • museums
  • parks
  • farms
  • theaters
  • fitness clubs
  • salons
  • local volunteer groups

People work on other activities such as healthy eating and cooking, computers, current events, fire safety, and human rights groups.

Some of the activities include:
