Narrative

Promotes chances for people to live in their communities as neighbors, friends, and valued fellow citizens. This is the Mission of AEI’s Residential Program. Services designed for each person promote the development of skills. This allows one to live as independently as possible.

Staff supports are set up based on each person’s needs. Support can range from twenty-four hours a day to a few hours each week. Each person is supported in following their choice of social and recreational activities, religious preferences, and personal relationships.

Services include:

• medical monitoring
• developmental skills training in activities of daily living (ADLs)
• money management and budgeting
• planning and preparing healthy meals

Services are given by caring staff and AEI’s Health Care Coordinator.
