Narrative

Private non-profit agency. Contracts with the State of Massachusetts to be the Aging Service Access Point (ASAP) and an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the towns of:

Provides coordinated home-care & community services to seniors, people with disabilities, their families and caregivers.  Offers free, private pay and state-subsidized services. Has contract with the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.

The Home Delivered Meals Program provides seniors with a nutritious lunch delivered to their door by a friendly driver for up to 5 days per week. The lunch contains at least 1/3 of the daily Recommended Dietary Allowance of nutrients. A variety of menus are available to meet special dietary needs for a number medical issues. Menus available include regular, diabetic, cardiac, mechanical soft, puree, ground, low lactose, renal, and, in some communities, Kosher and Chinese.

The State-subsidized homecare services are available for those 60 years of age and over who meet eligibility requirements (both financial and ability-based).  Also has some MassHealth-funded programs including PCA, AFC and GAFC. Services for people with disabilities (PwD).
